Explore the striking possibilities of scratch art in this creative mixed media workshop! Using scratchboard and a variety of scratch art tools, we’ll etch and draw into the dark surface to reveal the lighter layers beneath.
Choose fruit, flowers, or other botanical inspiration as your subject while exploring line, texture, pattern, contrast, and the interplay of positive and negative space.
Once your scratch art image develops, you’ll also have the option to add touches of color, bringing another dimension to your finished piece. This is a fun and approachable process with lots of room to experiment, play, and develop your own style.
